RETURN CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

This Return, Cancellation and Refund Policy (“Policy”) applies to all purchases made through the Automotive Care India website. By placing an order on our platform, you agree to the terms stated below.
1. RETURN ELIGIBILITY
Products purchased from Automotive Care India are eligible for return within 10 calendar days from the date of delivery (“Return Window”), except where special conditions apply to automotive and refurbished parts as outlined in Section 2.
To qualify for a return under the 10-day Return Window:
The item must be unused and uninstalled
The product must not show signs of installation, grease, scratches, dents, oil filling, or damage
All original packaging, tags, invoices, and documents must be included
Any physical damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with clear photo evidence or an unboxing video.
Installed products are not eligible under the standard 10-day return policy and will be governed strictly by the applicable testing warranty terms.
2. AUTOMOTIVE & REFURBISHED PARTS – SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Automotive parts, including refurbished components, are eligible for return only if:
The product is physically damaged at the time of delivery, provided such damage is reported within 48 hours with clear photo or unboxing video evidence
The product is defective due to manufacturing fault
The product received is different from the product description
Essential components or accessories are missing
Returns will not be accepted for:
Incorrect diagnosis
Wrong compatibility selection by the customer
Improper installation
Normal wear and tear
Change of mind
Customers are strongly advised to verify compatibility and OEM specifications before placing an order.
2.1 INSTALLATION CONDITION
If a refurbished compressor is found incompatible due to model mismatch, exchange is permitted only before installation and within the 10-day Return Window.
The product must:
Not be installed
Not contain oil or AC gas
Be in the same physical condition as delivered
Once installed in the vehicle, the product will not qualify under the 10-day return window and will be covered only under the applicable testing warranty.
2.2 TESTING WARRANTY FOR REFURBISHED COMPRESSORS
Refurbished AC compressors are covered under a 7-day testing warranty from the date of delivery, strictly against manufacturing defects. Claims under this testing warranty must be reported within 7 days of delivery.
This testing warranty applies only if:
Installation is carried out by a qualified AC technician
Complete AC system flushing is performed prior to installation
Correct oil quantity and gas charging procedure is followed
The compressor is returned in the same physical condition as supplied
Warranty will be void in the following cases:
Black or burnt oil is found inside the compressor
Clutch coil is burnt or damaged
Compressor is seized due to improper installation or system contamination
Any modification or alteration is performed
Petrol, chemicals, or cleaning agents are poured inside
Compressor is opened, dismantled, or repaired by unauthorized personnel
Replacement under warranty will be provided with a refurbished unit only, not a new compressor.
Gas filling charges, labor charges, transportation charges, and any consequential damages are not covered under warranty.
3. RETURN SHIPPING CHARGES
Return shipping costs shall be borne by the customer unless the return is due to our mistake.
Shipping charges and payment gateway fees are non-refundable.
Return shipping cost may be deducted from the refundable amount where applicable.
4. RETURN PROCESS
To initiate a return:
A return request must be raised within the applicable return or warranty window
After approval, the product must be securely packed to prevent transit damage
We recommend using a trackable shipping service
Automotive Care India will not be responsible for items damaged during reverse transit due to improper packaging.
5. INSPECTION & REFUND
Once the returned product is received:
Our quality inspection team will verify the product condition
If approved, the refund will be processed to the original payment method within 5–7 working days
If the return is rejected after inspection, the product may be shipped back to the customer at their expense
6. ORDER CANCELLATION
Orders may be cancelled only before they are shipped.
Orders that are already shipped or in transit cannot be cancelled.
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Automotive Care India’s liability under any circumstance shall be limited strictly to the purchase value of the product.
8. JURISDICTION
All disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located in New Delhi, India.
